Welcome to Lilybee. Please read these Terms of Service carefully before placing an order. By using the Lilybee website or submitting an order you agree to be bound by these terms.

What Lilybee is

Lilybee is a creative service that turns a child's hand-drawn artwork and a short voice recording into an animated video and an augmented-reality (AR) experience. You upload the drawing and audio clip; our platform processes them and delivers a finished video you can watch and share. You can also scan a printed version of the drawing with your phone to see it come alive through AR.

Lilybee is operated as a solo/small-team project. We will be transparent about what we can and cannot guarantee at this stage of the service.


Who can use Lilybee

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Lilybee is a service for parents and legal guardians who want to preserve and celebrate their child's creativity — not a service children use directly.

By submitting an order you confirm that:

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose drawing and/or voice you are uploading.
  • You have the legal authority to share that child's creative work and voice recording with us for the purpose of creating the animated video you have ordered.

If you are uploading a drawing or voice that belongs to someone other than your own child — including a niece, nephew, grandchild, or a friend's child — you must have explicit written permission from that child's parent or guardian before uploading.


Acceptable uploads

To keep the service safe and legal for everyone, the following rules apply to everything you upload to Lilybee.

You may upload:

  • Original drawings made by your child (crayon, pencil, paint, felt-tip — anything hand-made on paper or a tablet).
  • A short voice recording of your child (typically a few seconds to one minute).

You may not upload:

  • Drawings you did not make yourself or that are not your child's original work.
  • Images or artwork copied from books, films, games, or other copyrighted sources.
  • Voice recordings of children who are not in your care or for whom you do not have written parental consent.
  • Any content that is illegal, obscene, or that contains hate speech or threatening material.
  • Photos of people other than your child, or any image that could identify another individual without their consent.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or refund any order where uploaded content appears to violate these rules.


Placing an order and payment

Orders are placed through the Lilybee website. You will upload your drawing and audio clip, review a summary of your order, and then proceed to payment.

Price: €25 per order (including any applicable taxes where required by law).

Payment: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Lilybee never sees or stores your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy govern the payment transaction. By completing checkout you authorise us to charge the amount shown to your chosen payment method.

Payment is taken at the time you place your order, before processing begins.


Delivery

We aim to deliver your animated video within 24 to 72 hours of receiving your completed order. This is our target — not a contractual guarantee. At this early stage of the service we cannot commit to a fixed delivery time.

We will send your video to the email address you provide at checkout. If you have not received anything after 72 hours, please email hello@lilybee.app and we will look into it right away.


Refunds

We want every Lilybee video to feel magical. We also know that AI-generated results can vary, especially when interpreting a child's wonderfully unique drawing style.

Our refund policy is simple: if you are not happy with your video for any reason, you can request a full refund within 30 days of delivery, no questions asked.

To request a refund, email hello@lilybee.app with your order details. We will process the refund to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

After 30 days from delivery, refunds are at our discretion.


Intellectual property

Your content is yours. The drawing you upload belongs to your child (and you, as their parent/guardian). The voice recording belongs to your child. Uploading content to Lilybee does not transfer ownership of that content to us.

By placing an order you grant Lilybee a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your uploaded drawing and audio clip solely to produce and deliver the animated video you have ordered. This licence does not allow us to use your child's artwork or voice in advertising, in other customers' orders, or for any purpose other than fulfilling your specific order.

Lilybee's own content belongs to Lilybee. This includes our software, website, the Lilybee name and logo, the bee mascot, and any template animations or visual effects we create. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any of this without our written permission.

The finished animated video we deliver to you is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use. You are welcome to share it with family and friends and post it on social media. You may not sell it or use it commercially without contacting us first.


Service availability

Lilybee is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not offer any uptime guarantee or service level agreement at this stage.

We may occasionally take the site offline for maintenance, updates, or improvements. If a scheduled outage affects an order you have placed, we will contact you by email.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil your order (for example, due to a technical failure on our end), you will receive a full refund.


Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lilybee's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order to which the claim relates.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including lost profits, data loss, or disappointment — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such losses.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.


Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

If you are a consumer based in the EU, you also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.


Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will send notice to the email address on your most recent order.

Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
